Condition: Tones, creased. Pin holes on each sides of the drawings from being sewed in a book. Each pages are now loose.

Notes: Unsigned, attributed to Hokusai. From the former collection of Richard Lane. Each pages bear a red collector seal (Hayashi). The finish booklet can be seen HERE

It is interesting to compare the preparatory drawing versus the final product, as you can see some subtle differences. For example, in the flock of birds, the preparatory drawing have the center two birds fighting while in the final one, they are just flying with an additional one bird, or the drawing with the two monster talking seated had one extra one standing up no longer part of final cut, as seen below. There are a few more small differences like these in this opus. Comes with a COA.

Pictures: Pictures are taken outdoor, in the shade, to reflect true colors, without any enhancements of any kind. The last picture is taken indoor, with a light behind the print, to reveal the exact paper grain, holes if any, or other possible flaws.
