Condition: A little bit of remnants from prior backing, a few small repaired pin holes in the left section of the print, mild soiling, else very fine. Exceptional colors, excellent impression and overall condition.

Notes: Very rare variant of the Rainstorm print, referenced in the Gian Carlo Calza book of Hokusai page 264, that includes modification from the first impression where the pines tree appears at the foot of the mountain to amplify the thunder effect.

Don't miss out on one of Hokusai's most sought after print from the 36 views of Mt Fuji series, with exceptional colors and totally untrimmed. This print is in museum condition. (As a matter of fact, this might be among the best known copy, the others being trimmed, faded or toned)

Pictures: Pictures are taken outdoor, in the shade, to reflect true colors, without any enhancements of any kind. The last picture is taken indoor, with a light behind the print, to reveal the exact paper grain, holes if any, or other possible flaws.
